An incredibly popular destination and for good reason. This is a wonderful example of English history with stunning gardens and open spaces. Falconry displays and a comprehensive aviary are favourite features of visits as well as the challenge of escaping the large maze. Wonderful play areas will entertain the children in-between exploring and rides on the boat on the lake.

A beautiful, historic Castle and gardens set in the Weald of Kent. originated as in 1180. The castle was prominent as a royal courtier estate and was visited by Queen Elizabeth 1st in August 1573. Centuries later was used as a prison for French prisoners of the Seven Years War, as a workhouse and then as a residence for farm labourers. After some demolition it was purchased by Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson and between 1930 and 1968 they renovated and developed what is now a nationally and internationally famous garden of great renown.
This is a National Trust site and subject to an entrance fee.
A beautiful, historic Castle and gardens set in East Sussex. Dating from the 14th Century this National Trust owned property like Leeds Castle, has a water filled moat but more like Dover Castle has that quintessential 'Medieval Castle' shape.
Folkestone, the larger of the two towns with a rich British holiday heritage. This is a very popular destination to visit near to Dover and easily included in a tour. Hours can be spent looking around the town and the boutique shops situation on the old high-street. The highlight is really the coastline where families can enjoy a host of play areas including water play on hot days, seafood stalls, brand new mini golf, a perfect sandy beach and artisan dinning experiences and craft shopping on the Harbour Arm.
Hythe, a quaint coastal town with a charming historic high-street, relaxing promenade and attractive cafe culture. you might hire a row boat on the canal for an hour or just sit on the river bank and feed the ducks.
Enjoy the Miniature Railway that runs from Hythe along the coast to Dungeness. Have lunch at a seaside town or on a quite beach on the peaceful and quiet coastline.
